Goodbye LAS

I'm trying to keep these short and sweet so you can read them on your breaks or on the bus or whatever. No novels here.

On Friday morning I finished my last shift with LAS. Technically I'm on a 2 year career break so I can always run back if it all goes tits up. I started as a student 7 years ago and became a full time real adult with them 4 years ago, I haven't loved every minute of it but it's a journey I wouldn't change for the world.

Anyway, I'm not sure what I was expecting, certainly not balloons and whistles just something slightly spicier than normal. It's safe to say it was the same old s*** as normal (although I did walk into a cardiac arrest wearing a Canada headband my housemate made me, thanks Ed. The familiar feeling I assumed was my glasses on my head was infact not, I quickly took them off and pretended the mishap never happened).

As 0630 approached it was like any other day, I put my bags away, said a couple of 'see you laters' and got on my motorbike. To be honest with you I don't even think half of the people on station knew it was my last day. It was very anticlimactic and if you ask any of my friends, I wouldn't have it any other way. What's it you call me Josh? Affectionately mean? AKA heartless.

Who cares anyway, I had my leaving drinks that night and they were a hoot. I can confirm I was throughly inebriated so please enjoy some photos for your entertainment.

LAS it's not goodbye, it's a see you later (maybe).

Em x
